This grant aims to provide ‘quick response’ financial assistance, for the next 6 months, to eligible community organisations that are either experiencing financial hardship as a result of COVID-19 related service disruptions; seeking to establish alternate service delivery models for business continuity; or seeking to provide support services to vulnerable residents impacted by COVID-19.
Who Can Apply
Community organisations that:
- Are based in the Moreton Bay Region and/or can demonstrate that the proposed project will substantially benefit residents of the Moreton Bay Region;
- Have $20 million public liability insurance, if required by Council.
Funding
Eligible organisations may receive a grant of up to $10,000 (GST inclusive).
Eligible Projects
Projects that may be supported under this grant include:
- Direct financial assistance to community organisations experiencing hardship due to the impacts of COVID-19;
- Operational projects that support community organisations to continue the delivery of services via alternate service delivery models;
- Projects that support the delivery of services to vulnerable residents impacted by COVID-19.
Where contractors and suppliers are to be engaged as part of projects, local contractors and/or suppliers within the Moreton Bay Region are to be utilised (where practical)
