I have recently been appointed Chairman of a school board on a 3-year term.

I have been on the board for 3 years and headed up the finance committee.

At first, I was hesitant going on as a volunteer and as a non-paying role. Where would I find the time? It has been so enjoyable been able to share my knowledge and give back to the school and the community.

It’s not about what’s in it for me.

It has also been a great learning environment as well and to understand what the senior leadership team do and how a school operates and how we can do things better.

I take my hat off to headmasters and teachers. They are passionate and only want the best for the school, the children and us parents.

Thank you to all the hard working teachers who guided the young men and women this year and are about to go on a well-deserved break.

To watch your boys and others mature into young men or as the school calls them “Men of Action”

School ties are for life and no matter where you are in the world or in life you can always rely on a fellow student to have your back.
