Appoint the right CEO & have the right business & organisational structure

The committee of a club can't do it by themselves especially when they are volunteers & you need great support. The CEO can be a General Manager or Manager.

Jim Collins said in his book, Good to Great,

"People are not your most important asset. The right people are. Get the right people on the bus, the wrong people off the bus, and the right people in the right seats."

No matter what kind of business you are in, having the right people in place will determine your success or failure.

The CEO manages the day to day operations of the club, its people & resources. The CEO implements the strategy approved by the committee & ensures that the club's structure & processes meet the strategic & cultural needs of the club.

The committee's most important role is to appoint & work with & not against the CEO. Key areas having the right people in place
